Blue silk. Ritual animal sacrifice. Candles. Crystals. 'Eery' voices and music. Long hallways. Mountain mist. Did I mention blue silk? One of the most painful series we have watched: pretentiously and predictably random with an uninspired, formulaic script delivered with weak characters. Matilda wavers between rage, being grief stricken, fickle relationships, narcissistic transactionalism, feigned pensiveness, staring into space while 'piecing' disjointed clues. The manner in which it is filmed is equally as irritating with a preponderance of close-ups and people unnecessarily partly out of frame or pointlessly off-centre. A 'thriller' utterly devoid of any suspense yet a tortuous carnival ride one needs to see through.
