This woman changed everything for law enforcement by closely listening to both victims AND criminals and using her supremely empathetic yet analytical mind to cut to the heart of why criminals do what they do - with the idea that learning this can help prevent more crimes and help solve crimes already committed. Dr. Ann Burgess IS someone worth learning about. I completely recommend this documentary series.
