I’m surprised this got made and even more surprised it’s being promoted so much on Apple TV. It’s like the kind of low budget bad animation that would get parodied on YouTube with a multi million dollar budget.. I Just watched it with my family and we all thought it was bad- even my 10 year old. It isn’t very well written, the story is obvious from the outset but it manages to become unclear as it goes on. The animation is nothing out of the ordinary- below the quality of Disney, Pixar and dreamworks- especially mouth movement. Beyond a couple of nice moments the worlds are not very well realised. The character design is not very inspiring… we just didn’t think it was very good at all. I’m surprised Jon Lassiter is associated with it.
