The Singapore Story is a must read for anyone aspiring to lead any group of people; from a community to a country. Chapter 34 details LKY's visit to 17 African countries in 35 days in Jan/Feb 1964.
His submission about each of the countries visited will make you shake your head in amazement.
In Nigeria, I was struck by how impressed he was with the state of our infrastructure which he compared to what the British had established in Singapore and Malaysia.
