I have watched this show from the beginning and was appalled at season seven judging. The favoritism was unbelievable and for the winner to have a half decorated cake was deplorable. It was painful to watch and I’m not sure I’m going to continue watching after such ridiculous favoritism. Derek was clearly the most talented baker/decorator in the finale, and the judges seem to have it out for him from day one. He couldn’t seem to do anything right and was picked an apart for the smallest flaws when the other ones had major flaws and just kept getting the promoted forward. I really don’t understand the change in how the judges judged the contestants from previous seasons. You may not agree with them all the time, but this season was so blatantly biased.
