I don’t normally write a whole lot of reviews. But I felt compelled to after stumbling onto this show that came up for recommendations while watching “The Penguin” series. This has been one of the most refreshing and surprisingly awesome series that I’ve stumbled across.’ The dialogue and acting is top notch. It’s definitely made for adult fans of the Batman series. It’s quite violent and profane but in a very cheeky and comical type of way. The dialogue is hilariously brilliant and consistently good. Highly recommend!

I rarely write reviews and felt compelled to do so. I’m not a movie or TV critic or junkie. I do love organized crime and Mafia though, and Snowfall really scratched the itch in a way that was really unique for me. I think a 4.6 is more warranted. It has some flaws such as kind of glossing over some of the day-to-day stuff of the journey arch. The script for me got a little slow (and repetitive) at times. But it’s worth pushing through, especially the middle seasons (3-4ish). What stood out to me consistently over the entire series: the acting. You get a pretty deep glimpse into each of the major characters that I think builds empathy, and shows how different their personalities and objectives are. It’s a ride for sure worth taking. It paints a brilliant intersection of the 80’s crack cocaine epidemic, US affairs, the continued struggle of Black people to survive and life a quality life providing for their families into the future, and our own tragic human faults that become more consequential if left unchecked.
