I went into this movie with very low to no expectations. I didnt know what to expect, it was something my gf had suggested and I rolled with it and went on the ride. I must say this movie is a lot smarter then I figured it would be, it never takes itself too serious and the humor imo is spot on a lot of the time, Ryan Gosling did an amazing job with what had to be a difficult role as Ken, he was a character who could garner laughs, sympathy, and even be the bad guy. I dont like to think Im someone who enjoys musicals or musical numbers but this movie had a good amount but not too much, it was a happy medium and every song and musical number served a purpose. Overall It was an easy watch, lots to praise. The humor as I said is unbelievably good, the settings with the creative cartoon asthetics and the well thought out world building for the most part is something I can appreciate in a kids movie. Overall whether youre a guy or a girl I feel this movie if you just turn your brain off and have fun is a fun little ride, I really have no real glaring negatives to point to when talking about this movie.

I would love to rate this show higher part way through as I love the work of emma stone and nathan fielder but my complaint when it comes to this show, showtimes programming in general and what I think would make it better is to not make it so damn slow. I understand there needs to be tension and build up, but dude Im 6 episodes in and I feel like not much of anything has happened. That half these episodes could be condensed down significantly, I dont mind slow builds but the one with this show is so slow Im starting to question when and if there is even a payoff or some typa interesting conflict coming.
