The mother allowed her daughter to struggle and defer her dreams to help her in a funky ass diner, all the while sitting on a fortune. The daughters learned to be selfish from their trifling mother. And there is just no excuse for the male characters in this movie. WEAK! That said I always enjoy watching this tragedy.
