all i can say about this, is that its just OK thats it, there is nothing really special too it, {and ill explain why} id give this movie a 3 stars even though it deserves a 2, i gave it an extra star because of the songs, they where catchy, meaningful, well composed, why? because the songs where made by none other than Lin-Manuel, without a doubt his songs are always phenomenal and they do not disappoint i cannot say the same for the rest of the film, there was nothing special about it, (SPOILERS?) okay, so when the old man died i thought it was a really dark turn for the story, later vivo meets this kid (sorry i forgot the names) at first she was just really really really annoying, later on, she was just ok, now my specific problem is that the story is too generic, i especially dislike the part in the rain forest, the tone was too dark. and i know movies like these would have a dark toning in a sad moment, but this was not a sad moment. it was in the middle of the movie the fighting scene if you will, it slightly ruins the main aesthetic of the film, in my opinion. my main problem is that the ending was expected, i know i cant always ask for a dynamic story, especially in a kids movie, but the joy of having an amazing plot twist and a dynamic story for a kids show, is so that when those kids grow up and re-watch it they will appreciate it way more, when they understand. the ending was a happy one of course, theirs nothing wrong with one, but all endings need to feel accomplished, you may know what happens in the end but you just keep watching because you wanna see HOW the characters get to the ending, my point: the main story was just boring and the ending didn't feel so accomplishing. other than that, the characters are plain, story was generic, songs are amazing, that is all my opinion so check it out if you want!

first of all, if you are Filipino you would 100% LOVE this movie, unless your here for the story, then im sorry, this is your local love triangle. except its SO ENTERTAINING as much as im not into Filipino dramas, this one is definitely unique! i love the animation style, this is definitely above average and coming from the Philippines, now you may be thinking that "so what? Disney can do better than this!" well your right but the Philippines is a this world country plus i know so many amazing Filipino artists, and im so glad they could animate something with Filipino culture, and talent. this is truly a big milestone for Filippino! character designs are colorful appealing and so good! the animation is funny and so smooth! the story is OK, but i enjoyed it regardless, because of how entertaining they made it out to be! backgrounds are phenomenal!!! over all AWESOME!, especially if your Filipino, you would 100% relate to some of this haha

i'd give it 0 ratings if i can, TL;DR: generic story, generic character designs, un-likeable main character the story was generic, its bad even, it was so bad to the fact that, when i was at the half way point i just skipped to the end of this and wow wee. its the happy ending that was expected. its nothing special the character designs where so simple, too simple, other than the bear {i guess...} all the characters where just animals and humans, their personalities where generic too, just your local magical special kid with her magic zoo friends that add nothing to the story other than "look at me and my imagination" other than that the main character is stubborn and rude, later in the story, she develops some kind of hero complex sure i get what they where trying to do with the "my mom has to go away for a while, this is what your child feels, boom imagination gone" kin of story message but over all it was not something worth watching and un-enjoyable at the very least
