Overlong, slow and pretty tedious for the most part. A hotchpotch of older (better) horror films such as Rosemary's Baby and The Exorcist. The term 'auteur' has been bandied about regarding the director, Ari Aster. I think 'cinematic thief' is more apt. Still, not as shameless a rip-off as his next film Midsommar (The Wicker Man).
