I think it's a big step up from the anime. The story is more compact, the visual is stunning!

difficult watch... think david lynch but more disjointed wasn't familiar with the director's work, was hoping for a fun popcorn movie, not entertained at all

Good CGI, good story, super well acted! Trumps any Hollywood's catastrophe movie as of late.

As a die-hard fan of the genre, I am happy with most horror films even B-grade ones. But this one is just the worst, a real time-waster. It's never exciting, engaging, only boring. Characters spend a lot of time dreaming or imagining things (screaming alone when nothing is actually happening around them), and having flashbacks. Avoid it.
