I just finished season one of the Disney+ series “Dream Productions” which fallows the characters from Disneys hit film “Inside Out” You might remember the Dream scenes in the first “Inside Out” film and how the dreams are set up like a movie production. How there is a crew that puts on a live performance as Riley’s dreams. This series shows the behind the scenes chaos of both characters and the crazy mess of a production. It is set up as a unique mockumentary with character interviews. Similar format as shows like “The Office”, “Parks and Recreation” and “Modern Family”. This unexpected format makes it an even more fun watch. This series fallows the dream director “” (who’s was scene in the first Inside Out) as she tries to stay relevant and keep her job as a producer. With other directors, her boss breathing down her neck, and rising young talent, she has to try to make successful dreams like she used to. This series surprisingly made me laugh more than I thought. The only thing I had against it was, this was released the same year to the second movie “Inside Out 2”. It being released prior to the film means the new characters (emotions) in the second film are not in the show however it has her friends from the second film….. which is confusing. The other emotions Joy, Anger, Disgust, and Sadness, are all in this series but don’t get a lot of screen time given they are not the main characters, rather the dream production crew is. I recommend this series, and I look forward to hopers season 2. (Not confirmed yet)

So disappointing. Instead of focusing on the chickens new society they built on the island after escaping the farm from the first movie, they jump right into the action and feels forced. Ginger and Rockies kid went off and got captured in a new farm. Except this farm is huge and looks like a James Bond villain lair compared to a normal farm. The first movie showed that this universe is one with realism to an extent. The first movie the farm was dirty grungy and showed realism with technology. Sure there was a giant pie cooker in the first movie but the components at least was realistic. In the new movie the farm takes away the realism the first movie instilled making it feel like a completely different worlds What kind of chicken farm has a moat, security staff, and laser ducks??? It dosnt make sense whatsoever. I get it’s a kid movie but at least the first made sense. They had a perfect opportunity for such a great story instead go with a spy rescue mission. (Because we have never seen a spy rescue mission before 🙄) so so disappointing Netflix should be ashamed of themselves for ruining a classic to many and a well anticipated sequel.

This is by far my favorite movie of ALL TIME! It beats any movie I have ever seen and it’s not even close. It has a lot to do with the vibe this movie gives off as well as the comedy. The comedy is genius which is layered with suspense and thrills. It is very fulfilling with all of the twists and turns. This is a movie you can rewatch to try to catch different clues you missed your first watch. The fact it has 3 different endings and when you saw it in theaters you may have gotten a different ending than others who saw it makes it fun. Genius! The DVD copy has all 3 including THE official ending. The music is amazing. The original score is creepy yet comforting. Watching this movie late at night is the best way to go. The cast!! Oh baby the cast! The brilliance of Tim curry mixed with the intellect of Christopher Loyd and the wit of Martin Mull are just A COUPLE of the many perfectly casted actors in this film. I truly love this film so much and I only hope you love it just as much if not more!!

”Shrek”, “The Bee Movie”, “Madagascar” are all early 2000’s classics from DreamWorks. Another film that is often overlooked that is in that class is the 2006 film “Over the Hedge”. The film starts with a lonely raccoon who is just getting by on his own. He finds himself hungry and gets caught stealing from a bear in hibernation. While he gets caught the wagon of food from the bear gets destroyed resulting in the bear threatening him if he does not return every bit of food that was destroyed he will come after the raccoon. While the raccoon is on a mission to collect all of the food, he runs into a mixed family of animals who hibernate together. The raccoon encourages the animals to start stealing from humans because that food is better. The raccoon offers to help the animals collect food for their hibernation. Little does the family know their raccoon plans on taking the food they have collected and betraying them to pay his debt to the bear. Later in the film, the raccoon realizes the bond and the sense of family that he lacked from the animals, resulting in him having to make the decision to put himself in danger by not paying the bears debt or betray his newly made friends by taking all of the food , they had dangerously stolen from the humans for hibernation. The film is full of laughs. From the interactions between the animals, to the interactions, the animals have with the humans. It truly is a classic early 2000s DreamWorks movie of comedy and drama. My favorite moments in character by far has to be the exterminator. “Over the Hedge” has a heavy hitting cast. Bruce Willis, Steve Carell, Wanda Sykes, Eugene Levy, and William Shatner are just a few of the names in this film. Each character is portrayed amazingly and the chemistry between them makes the film enjoyable. The family feels you get from the bond between the animals makes it impossible to resist cheering for them. “Over the Hedge” is an amazing kids film that can be enjoyed by adults aswell!

“HELLOOO!” Sorry I couldn’t help myself!! XD Mrs. Doubtfire (in my humble opinion) is a film that will forever have a special place in the hearts of so many. From the score to the cast, it is a perfect feel good comedy that brings nostalgia and comfort to those who watch. A beautiful yet sad movie about a loving father who will do anything to see his kids despite basically losing them from his recent divorce with his ex wife. He is so in love with them he can’t be separated, resulting in him dressing up like an elderly woman to become their nanny. The comedy of Robin Williams as well as his sweet nature in this film, makes you cheer for him throughout the film. It is filled with hilarious laughs and you will catch yourself smiling watching this film. This story although is told in a comedic fashion is also relatable for so many people. For parents who have split up in divorce, to the children being put the separation, to the one person (often times the dad) loosing custody or has limited visit time with their kids. It hits home for many. Although it is a comedy it also makes you smile. And brings out a lot of light in which is a dark time for broken families. I highly recommend this film and get cozy when you sit down to watch the brilliance of the genius himself, Robin Williams.
