For a game that's based on running new game plus multiple times and having "2000+ hours" of replayability, man do I not care about any of the factions or the main quest at all after the first playthrough. The first playthrough was reminiscent of playing Skyrim for the first time, but after the luster wears off you realize that the game is completely empty. And yes Todd Howard, even skyrim and oblivion had horses so you could get around planets faster. Not a human alive today wants to play a walking simulator, even if it's in fancy space locals. The auto-generated maps have almost completely no loot in them. There are no unique quest reward weapons (like not even cool named guns) simply base skin guns with (randomly generated) percs. You remember that gun from fallout? The fat man? alien blaster? dawnbringer? wabbajack? Well in starfield you get the yellow edition of that same gun you picked up four minutes into the game, go wild. This game doesn't even have rocket launchers! Also there's a complete lack of enemy variety. There are really cool aliens but all any of them really do is either bite or jump at you. Then there are different "spacers" which will just have different armor types, that's it, nothing else. These are just the glaring issues, with smaller pet peeves running rampant throughout the other features. Game is fine at best, ship building is cool. Too bad bethesda wasn't trying to go for game of the year with this one.
