This got worse at the passing of each episode and I didn’t even finish watching the last episode about the wedding. The character of the fiancé is just a constant whiner completely insufferable and indifferent to everyone else’s wants and needs whomever created this character produced a middle aged unrelatable spoilt brat get rid asap she complains about the wedding and whether to go ahead makes Mum feel terrible wedding gets cancelled and then she complained about it. As for the DI the actor is very talented but the character has devolved into Goofey and his selfish fiancé wants a baby doesn’t want a baby let’s have a baby no I don’t want one. I don’t want to get married I do want to get married I don’t want this I wanted that and everybody is made to feel they failed her while she kicks her mother out of her home so they can I assume circumvent inheritance tax and become foster parents with a social worker who clearly has a conflict of interest. Meanwhile Humphrey looks like he wants to curl into a ball and bang his head repeatedly on the floor and who can blame him. The characters of the supporting cast were becoming more interesting but for some reason it clearly was decided that couldn’t be allowed and they became 19th century stage hall third rate vaudeville.
