I'm going to be completely honest and admit I did not finish the series. I finally gave up half way through episode 17 as I was just completely bored. The animation is fantastic and it starts off well with the prologue, but it's all down hill from there. Unfortunately, it is not a Gundam series, but more like a high school drama where disputes are resolved by fighting in big robots. There are some interesting characters, but Suletta (the protagonist) is not one of them. She is as dull and uninteresting as a person can be, and seemingly has no ability to think for herself. She does nothing without being told first, including getting into mobile suit battles. This could be offset by having her stand out as great pilot, but she's actually just average (or maybe a bit below that even) but wins everything just because her Gundam is the most powerful. The main problem is that they have decided to attempt to abandon the huge political drama of the older series and focus on character drama instead. Unfortunately, they forgot to actually give the characters personality or make them interesting.

An absolute train wreck of a movie that provides the barest of motivations for all of the cast to do what they have to in order to move the 'story' forward. The villains lack any reason to act how they do and the story has no emotional weight even during its 'emotional' scenes. The jokes fall flat and the acting is subpar at best. Basically, only go see this if you enjoy watching CGI monsters punch each other for 30 minutes.

This the hyped and anticipated sequel? More like an absolute waste of time by a creator who has clearly fell out of love with his creation.
