Chris Harden

This is a great Sci-Fi film with great visuals and a great twist. It seems to get better every time you watch it. I think it will ultimately be judged as a classic by many and it is probably one of the most underrated films out there. If you've not watched it, I would recommend you do so, but whatever you do, don't abandon it before the shocking end.

I had high hopes for this but overall this was the worst Poirot I have seen. Not only was it generally boring but the main character was not Poirot. He was a sad old man. Hastings was badly missed as Poirot had no one to discuss his observations with. The direction was far too arty. A good director (like Hitchcock) let's the story play out in front of the camera and does not constantly strive to distract the audience with some irrelevant, arty shot. The ending was so anti-climactic I couldn't believe it. Did Poirot actually do anything worthwhile? If you instructed someone to produce this story with the aim of ruining it as much as possible, I don't think you could have done a better job!
