I’m surprised to see such negative feedback about this film. I’m not a major cinephile by any means, but I’m a fan of apocalyptic/thriller/horror films. Although, I will agree the movie moved slow, I appreciate how it really did feel like time was running out— towards the middle things begin to pick up and by the end everything’s happening so fast. I understand some people may not be a fan of this sort of direction, but even during the slower parts, the mystery kept me on the edge of my seat. I watched it without having watched a trailer or read anything about it, my friend recommended it as they had recently read the book. Also I must add that Bautista & Quinn’s portrayal of their characters really set this movie apart.
