The writing… could be better. The show feels like a hollow shell of the original source material leaving a lot of the beautiful dimension and thoughtfulness out. Things are either overly explained which were always meant to be left to the imagination or under explained for the sake of pace. It is beautifully shot. But fairly underwhelming if you like the books or Peter Jackson epics. Also, Galadriel, one of the most fantastic characters in the movies and book is severely lacking in gravitas and mystique. But the whole idea could have been compelling!
