Spent spring break in Ft Lauderdale all six years of college 73-78 and lots of time in the Elbo Room which is still there. It was a fantastic time and a great place to meet students fro a over the east coast and midwest. The mermaid show still happens at The Wreck on weekends. Those spring breaks were some of my best college experiences and the movie accurately captures the excitement and fun of those trips. Connie Francis has a fantastic voice. BTW the star of the movie Deloris Hart went on to become a nun - fun fact.
