I read the French version ‘Méchant Garçon’. Definitely one to remember. Recommend it. A good balance of characters. Only quibble is the first half of the book got a bit repetitive ( I don’t want to read anymore about food!) and, like many novels, the ending seemed more of an afterthought. Reminded of Stephen King who sets a great premise but loses interest and is on to his next project. Enough negativity, creepy in a good original way. The main character is totally unlikeable but, again, his inner thoughts keep us riveted. A fun read if you hink of tbr book like a black comedy rather than a serious realism.
