Listened to the singles first. Now I’ve listened cover to cover a couple times. This album has the unexpected elements of Pornograffiti and the cohesiveness of Three sides. It is too soon to say if it’s their best album, needs time to grow on me, but I do hope it gets the attention it deserves.
Nuno brings the fire, Gary’s voice is ageless. Pat is and always has been the glue that binds this band together - his bass is the stage on which Nuno can dance and his third voice is good enough to be lead singer in many other bands. And how about KFigg? He is just solid throughout. No flash all foundation
Favourite songs at the moment? Banshee, Rebel, Small Town Beautiful. But I think X Out could win them an entirely new audience.
Give it a listen, you’ll be glad you did.
