Aside from the characters the overall story actually is quite gripping and satisfying, obviously it isn’t an exact replica of Agatha Christie’s novel but… The suspense atleast for me worked really well and definitely had me somewhat on the edge of my seat towards the climax. The issues I have however are for the most part with the casting; Gal Gadot is way over used and not to mention my own distaste for her being a soldier (though I am aware conscription is mandatory for her, I’m still not a fan of her vehement support for the IDF), casting her also doesn’t really make sense in that she portrays a British or American Socialite yet her accent is her strong Israeli accent. The only reason I could think of casting her is because she is from the Middle East and it is set in Egypt (still doesn’t explain why choose her though especially when her character doesn’t make sense to have an accent). Then of course there’s Armie Hammer who has his own issues… and more importantly they could’ve had an actual British person play the role rather than an American man.
I would also add that it takes too long for the movie to get to the actual murder when the murder finally happens there’s maybe a third left of the Film. Overall most of the actors were enjoyable and the Characters are interesting and fun apart from those I named.
