Does not actually reflect the reality of Hawai’i. Yes she’s supposed to be a super teen, however it takes away from the actual problems that are faced in Hawai’i. Notice how we only get the better settings on the island of Hawai’i? Increasing the likelihood of ignorance towards the actual culture of the Hawaiian people and the people of Hawai’i. It would have been great if they could have had the focus on some kid who is from the middle of the projects in Kalihi being a super teen, but that doesn’t appeal to the nuclear family of average Americans.
