I watched this turkey because I love Nicholas Cage and because several friends recommended it as an enjoyable modern Christmas tale. While Cage is as oddly compelling as ever (hence one star) the lesson at the end is that marriage and children provide the only true happiness life offers. Be a blade of grass! Sprout, grow, make more blades of grass, then die. I'll take the penthouse suite and the solo ski holidays.
