It took me forever to watch this and, then I wish I hadn't.
Although the Marvel movies have always been quite cookie cutter, they at least had a healthy balance between a well told story, some depth and struggle with the characters and a bit of comic relief. But now .... they just throw one liner jokes at the screen on rapid fire hoping one sticks, film every scene in hopes it can become a viral meme and throw in a sprinkle of something that may make you feel for a character but then joke about it then entire time just doesn't work.
The other problem is.... they no longer set up for how or why characters sometimes do and do not have powers that would have helped in previous movies or even scenes .... and miss me with the "well if you read the comic" because thats simply not good story telling. Originally when the movies started coming out they would set themselves apart from the comics so people who were not average readers could at least enjoy the film without being left with questions like....
"why didn't he just give every one the power of Thor in the beginning of the movie and prevent the entire snore of a movie from existing"
Its not the worst movie I have ever seen but def bottom 3 marvel films, and prob bottom 200 overall films. 2 outa 5 only because its one saving grace is I did feel like the end of the film was decent.
