I honestly found this show very impressive. This show depicts very accurately but delicately about white privilege and implicit racial discriminations white people tend to have towards other races. I was shocked seeing Reese Witherspoon playing her role, she reminds me of some of white women that I encountered in Mid-western states. Their intention was right and kind hearted but they inevitably had a mind set of being white privileged and could be culturally ignorant. The scene where she made a fortune cookie saying “ cause she’s Chinese” and also the scene where to tell two black kids hang out together and tell them you guys must have lots of similarities reminds of white people telling me about their cousin married to a Japanese girl and try to find similarities with me although I am a Korean.
