As a reader, I’m pleased with the quality of the story, particularly the investigation aspect. However, I believe the romantic elements were unnecessary. Alia, a married woman and mother who is deeply worried about her missing daughter and facing family problems, shouldn’t be portrayed as considering an affair with a detective. The detective, for his part, should respect a married woman and focus more on the case rather than her appearance. If a romantic subplot was deemed necessary, it could have been introduced after Alia’s divorce, if that was part of the storyline. That being said, the case details and investigative work were excellently crafted and truly engaging. The author has done a fantastic job with the investigation aspect, but in my opinion, fell short with the love story. Personally, I would rate it 3/5 with the romantic elements, but it would have been a 4/5 without them. This is, of course, just my personal opinion.
