I feel a little cheated. It used to be a television season was more than 20 episodes. To this day the networks still give us around 20. When cable started producing original series, that number came down some. Then came streaming series and the number was half. I do get that working 16 hour days all week takes its toll on cast and crews. But I have to work ALL year, as do most people. But now after wading through two years of a global pandemic, we are treated to an EIGHT episode season and, wait for it, the announcement that yet another beloved show will close up shop after five seasons. But maybe itโs for the best. Honestly not loving the new season as much as the previous seasons. I understand that she wants to make her own rules and play the game her own way. But really tired of watching her shoot herself in the foot because sheโs either in a pissing contest with Sophie Lennon or because this brilliant girl doesnโt have the sense god gave a banana about what things she might not want to elude to about her boss. Iโm also disappointed that she and Joel donโt seem to be headed toward a reconciliation. They belong together. I finally like where Rose and Abe are headed though and I like whatโs happening with Suzie. Sheโs the one I root for the most!!! Weโll see if I have the stomach to sit through the final season of, Iโm assuming, six episodes.
