There was no substance to this show at all. It didn't follow an arc of any sort for any of the characters. The bit at the end where the husband and Simone become a couple was absolutely ridiculous. Reminiscent of Stepford wives with clear misogynistic portrayals of women. And can somebody please explain the whole meaning of the word sirens as it applied to this particular show? Because there was nothing, and I mean nothing, apart from the text messages and the tiny little bit at the end where Simone is standing on the beachfront with a siren song- again, another mismatched scene. I spent 5 hours hoping that it would get better. This whole limited series could have been smashed out in an hour and a half.
