I’m a huge LOTR fan and I actually really enjoyed the first 2 episodes, I think the negative reviews are actually unreasonable at this point and haters be hating for the sake of it… It’s not completely accurate canonically, however it is awesome seeing the revival of famous cities and locations we all have been waiting for If anyone says the CGI or cinematography sucks… I dunno what tv they have been watching this on because the graphics are phenomenal and impressive The pace of the show is right where it needs to be, I really do like how they have been slowly building upon Sauron’s return, showing glimpses of evil that is brewing in the south, I really do think this gives a greater effect for when we get to encounter him for the first time and also a good display of writing The only thing I didn’t enjoy as much were the hobbits… because of what I envision hobbits to be This show is just a depiction of tolkiens world from a different set of eyes NOT Peter Jackson’s and honestly you should just go into the show and enjoy it for what it is, if you love the world of middle earth then I don’t see why you wouldn’t enjoy this piece of work as it is really promising so far
