This is a fascinating, partially true story...but the film is awful. Slow, slow, slow, intrusive editing between scenes, heavy handed, ponderous music, fake looking settings. Too bad, because it is a moving and interesting story.

Convoluted, unconvincing, Unresolved, unsatisfying, overrated, unfortunate treatment of an interesting story. Slow, plodding pace, ponderous, melodramatic music. I am utterly disappointed in a film loaded with unfulfilled possibilties. Two excellent actors, Carey Mulligan and Ralph Fiennes, can't rescue this clod of a film.
