This movie is perhaps one of the most moving eulogies to the two generations of gay men whose lives were obliterated by AIDS/HIV as well as the multiple generations before them whose lives went utterly unacknowledged in an atmosphere of homophobia and suspicion. It was both a poignant reminder of how far we’ve come, and how wonderful that is…but how little we recognize the fact that there is a band of survivors who must now feel like they are living on the moon. If you are not moved by this, you’re made of stone.
