I feel like I'm watching a cartoon.

Not much to distinguish this from any other conman saga. The victims are foolish and gullible, and their accounts are slow going. I don't take much interest in watching the tribulations of fools. (Though I do sympathize with the affected relatives.)

Not my style. The bizarre demeanor of these characters is a lot to sit through for two hours.

Outside of the first five or ten minutes, I believed every second of this film. The acting is superior. The emotions are raw and real. Easily five stars.

Ridiculous premise. One contrived nonsensical situation after another. Utterly boring. Lame ending.

The story itself is interesting and engaging. However... The monologues and dialogues are way too long and drag on to the point of annoyance. Many of them lack believability. Some of the writing and acting is downright cringe-worthy. (Samantha Sloyan, in particular.) Highly implausible scenarios are littered throughout. (Acknowledging, of course, the fact that this is a movie about the supernatural.) Definitely needs some editing and tightening up!

Incredibly insightful and emotional. Really gets to the root of the ex-gay movement and illustrates just how difficult it will be to put an end to it. In many ways, the "reformed" leaders of this movement are themselves victims. Victims of the core belief that their gayness means that they are broken in the eyes of God. This belief is the root of all the pain we witness. Profound and thoughtfully done.

This movie is so corny it makes me cringe. The writing and characters are not even close to being believable. Not to mention, the story itself is not worth two hours of my time.
