I was looking for a book about athlete’s lucidity in a competition setting. This one is right on target! The book is divided in 5 sections. The first section illustrates all the scenarios on what losing lucidity looks like: tunnel vision, spotlight effect, hesitation, choking, overanalysis, panic…to name a few. The second section goes through the causes of losing lucidity. Sections 3-5 are about how to develop and enhance lucidity. I coach soccer to teens and I’ve learned new skills and concepts in this book. It is well structured, well written with real life example. It is definitely different than a classic book on mental training for athletes. This one is focusing only on lucidity, the clarity of mind when under pressure. I highly recommend to any athletes and coaches.
