Nostalgia at its best! However, the show is called Doogie Kameâloha, M/D. which is based in Hawaii, right? Nothing against race, color or creed, but why don't studios hire the correct actors from these culture shows? The main character is Chinese portraying a Hawaiian character. These two cultures are completely different and they should hire an actor that is truly from Hawaii. tWere there no Hawaiian actors that could take this spot? Or was no actor from Hawaii even considered and they just gave it to the first person they though of?!
The whole cancel culture and other issues of race within this industry in the last few years and recent as 2020/2021 is the issue! Many people complained because the wrong actors/actreses were portraying a character of a different color, language or other circumstances, and had to be had to be replaced to fill in for the right fit of that populous. So why again, do we have a Hawaiian show of a classic doctor that is in real life Chinese but the character is supposed to be Hawaiian? Can someone answer this please ? My guess, not a single real true Hawaiian actress was ever auditioned for this part and was subsequently given to a person that closely resembled what the studios wanted and not to mention this current actress was already in Disney's roster all along!
