This film was just. WOW. The cinematography on this film was amazing. Just the right amount of gore and it was disgusting! The shock factor was there without jump scares or violence, and I loved that. This film was the farthest thing from predictable. I've never seen anything like this before. The chills and anticipation. There is so much to unpack. I loved the bright color scheme that made it feel like an exaggerated, stereotypical version of Hollywood. The character of Harvey, was portrayed beautifully. His acting was very in your face, and the cinematography when he was on screen was the cherry on top. Demi Moore was absolutely jaw dropping. I was addicted to the screen the entire time. As much as I wanted to look away, I couldn't. The feeling of genuinely not knowing what's going to happen next was genuinely exhilarating. The vagueness of the entire film felt eerie, I especially felt that way anytime she was in her own bathroom. It felt medically creepy. Sue's scream scene gave me goosebumps and it was a perfect portrayal of the buildup and frustration. The dynamics between Elisabeth Sparkle and Sue portray so many of women's relationships through the feeling of jealousy akin to that of a mother-daughter relationship to the feelings inside yourself about your own worth. Watching this movie and watching as Sue gradually becomes more greedy, ignoring the consequences of their actions and the effect it brings onto Elisabeth is so familiar to being young and not realizing that everything you do has an impact on who you grow into as a person and what life complicates in the future. This movie is absolutely one of the best things I've watched and really tells a story on women as a whole. 10/10 recommend.
