Beth Bell

Really more of a 2.5 out of 5. Visually- it was absolutely stunning. The rest? Well- no real plot to speak of and no real character development. It was essentially one big Pandora chase scene, with a few eco messages thrown in. At least the first one devoted some time to the science behind the avatars and the planet. And the two characters who fall in love, etc. I really don’t see why there’s any Oscar buzz about this film unless you’re talking visual and special effects and production design.
