Honestly, filter the ratings by "1 star", and look at the people and their comments, you see a pattern right? I thought this movie was beautifully done. Growing up as an Asian-American, I completely related to the main character by experiencing the same pressure and weight that was placed upon me by my parents. I was in no way a good child, and to be perfect also led to a rebellious stage. The movie does a great job in reflecting the experiences for those who grew up in that setting. Now there is some topics that are considered "risqué " to the one-star-ers. However it's nothing over the top and is still done in Disney style where it's toned down. Great for Disney/Pixar to explore topics that we in society consider uncomfortable. It's a beautiful film, and the animation is absolutely wonderful. Please consider watching it.
