Saw this at The Palace Theatre in London. Honestly, this was the worst theatre experience I’ve ever had. The venue is *extremely* small, with barely any legroom – and I’m only 158 cm tall. I cannot imagine how unbearable it must be for someone taller.
They’ve crammed in far more seats than the space can reasonably support. It’s obvious the priority was profit, not the comfort or experience of the audience.
And the cast? Honestly, a complete disappointment.
The play is split into two parts. I bought tickets for both, expecting to watch them on the same day, but I had to leave after the first part. After just two hours my back and legs were in agony from sitting in those *awful*, uncomfortable fold-up chairs. How can you sell a four-hour production without giving a single thought to the audience’s seating?
As a lifelong Harry Potter fan, I can say this with confidence: I absolutely DO NOT recommend this play. Don’t waste your money – read the books instead.
