Strong acting about a man about to lose his house to foreclosure. He decides to transport drugs to make ends meet. He was a failure as a husband and a father. He helps his grand daughter pay the cost of the wedding and visits his dying wife.

Unsympathetic main character. He was aloof and a snob. He berated his white driver and couldn't fit in among blacks and whites,or heterosexuals. It's alright to be intellectually superior to a point but don't let it get to your head.
