Missed potential. Fool me for believing all of the hype, and well done to the filmmakers for keeping everything under wraps, but the film itself was a pretty big let down.
Too many unanswered questions by the end, not much in the way of genuine scares - or even the much-hyped sense of dread. This is no Silence of the Lambs/Se7en or Zodiac, much as it wants to be. The titular character had me laugh out loud a couple of times and reminded me of Avid Merrion or something out of Little Britain. The first 50 minutes were promising but overall this was very forgettable.
Edit: Chris May’s review is the only review you need of this film! Great work.
