Phew. What a great game. I beat it the first time and thought โwow, what a ride!โ But it was incredibly short, so I decided to play it again because I realized at the end that you could choose different choices in the mission, so I wanted to play it again.
Second playthrough, it was normal, but I was way better do to getting used to the controls and everything going around me (can be overwhelming but give it time) but, much to my surprise, I had different missions from the first playthrough! I was pumped. So I played through the second time choosing the missions I missed out on the last time, and thoroughly enjoyed the second play through just as much as the first play through.
I decided to play it again because at this point, I started doing research in the game thinking I beat it, and there are more missions on the 3rd playthrough! It was a great experience, and I would absolutely recommend this game to everyone looking for a new game.
Hereโs the cons:
The missions were pretty short. Iโd love a 20 to 30 minute mission instead of the 5 to 10 minute missions.
There couldโve been way more missions. I loved being able to replay and find new missions, but the amount of actual missions in the game (after the 3rd playthrough) shouldโve been the amount for the first playthrough. I was left wanting more.
I wish there was more โweightโ in the sound effects. What do I mean? Youโd crash through all this metal and crate containers and there would be 0 sound. I get it that it couldโve been overbearing, but man, Iโm in a 2 story mech. I want to sound like a mech
Pros
Youโre in a freaking mech. And my lord, is the movement smooth.
Customization on steroids. Iโd recommend all players to not look at any builds online and just experiment. Thatโs where I had the most fun.
Great story. You really can dictate the storyline based on the missions. I played the extra good guy the first time, the bad guy the second time, and the.. ??? Guy the third time? (You just have to play it)
The atmosphere is very very well done
Cutscenes 10/10
Did I say youโre in a freaking mech?
Overall, Iโd recommend this game to all of my friends. There is a learning curve, but after a week of playing a bit, quitting and coming back, it was absolutely worth it. 8.5/10.
