I have never been much of a fan of Westerns but this is an exception. News of the World is a story of love, a story of pain, a story of triumph, a story of quality. Tom Hanks plays the role of Captain Kidd, a man who travels around Texas after the Civil War reading folks the news for 10 cents. Stumbling upon a child who has only fragments of memories of her life before being taken in by American Indians he embarks on a journey to reunite her with the only family she has left. Helena Jengel, a 12 yr old from Berlin has been cast impeccably for this role. This movie is certainly worth watching!
