Mary Collins

This movie was a train wreck from beginning to end. If you have ever read a Jane Austen novel please do not waste 1 hour and 49 minutes of your life on this very sloppy, campy rendition. Jane is portrayed as a budding alcoholic who’s only joy in life is to mock and ridicule others. Neither she nor Captain Wentworth go through any type of character arch and there is absolutely NO chemistry between the two. The only bright spot was Richard E Grant. I believe the actors themselves are gifted, but the writing and directing was absolute rot.
