What I found interesting about the reviews, they're either 5 star or 1 star reviews. You have the die hard Tolkien fans , who aren't fans of Amazon dragging his good name through the mud, just for a quick buck. Then you have those leaving 5 star reviews , just for the sake of combatting the bigots for not being enlightened to this series. I haven't seen it , I don't plan to. The fact there are very little middle ratings of ( 2,3,4 ) , tells me this show is not very appealing.
