Unlike most Hollywood movies of late, I never once felt indocrinated or told what to think. The film, in my opinion, fulfilled the first law of a good film: to show a plot without telling the audience what to think, what is "right" or "wrong," and not be completely influenced by today's way of seeing and judging the world. The film allowed me to see the protagonist's life through her eyes and add to my wisdom by seeing how different hippotetic people see and act in the world through very different lifestyles, value systems and time periods.
