I wasn't sure what to expect when I went to the movie theater to see this movie but ever since I was a little girl, I loved the animated version of the little mermaid. I was blown away by the live action movie. The vocals, the diversity of the cast, and imagery were fantastic. I don't think anyone could have done a better job than the main character Halle and even the other cast members were great. They took away the stupid parts of the animated version and incorporated new songs to compliment the movie. As a parent, it touched my heart and made me cry. This movie captivates children as well as adults with the best of what the original animated version had to offer. For me, I loved the live action movie 10 times more then the original animated version hand down. Excellent movie. I will watch this again at the movie theater!
