A grossly underrated comedy, this holiday film is simply fantastic. It's my favorite movie second to The Bird Cage. We watch nearly every year and it gets me every time. Sarah Jessica Parker and Diane Keaton are dazzling. Claire Danes and Dermot Mulroney are quite striking, which must be a feature of their character descriptions. Themes of self awareness, insecurity, judgment, jealousy, turmoil, aging, mortality, redemption, and enduring love are classic. Characters such as these have existed in every family. How about yours?
