Spectacular performance by Denzel Washington! Civil War buffs; specifically, those seeking a true story on the first all-black U.S. Army regiment should watch. Truly enjoyed the narrative, the costumes, the scene realizations, performances by all casts, and the detailed writing that went into this movie. One of the finest movies made to date.

I loved the movie. It’s for dreamers and those that have faith and hope. Could there have been more backstory, maybe, but I enjoyed and have watched it maybe 3 or 4 times since. I think we all want to think there is a place outside our dreams, while we are living, all things are possible
