Lord. This book had a bigger impact on me than I could’ve imagined — the story of Ponyboy and his friends as they face challenges they were never reading for is bafflingly powerful. I read this book in 7th grade ELA and it’s been my favorite ever since. I’ve reread and watched the movie so many times, it’s kind of crazy!
